Matthew initially joined CGW in 2002 as an Engineering Cadet. Following graduation he spent two years in Westport before he left for his OE in 2011, returning 2 years later to join the CGW team again. Matthew is a Senior Civil Engineer experience in many aspects of civil engineering from project conception to completion.
Matthew’s experience has been primarily in two sectors of engineering; civil design utilising computer design programs such as 12d Model and the assessment of complex storm-water design and attenuation. He has worked on a number of large projects including site supervision of the $130 million Stockton Mine CHPP, Westport, a £70million refurb at 7-9 Buckingham Gate, London, the design and supervision of the roading, carpark and storm-water works for the $30 million Nelson Airport upgrade, Nelson, the design management of the $15 million Saxton Creek upgrade project, Nelson.
Matthew travelled extensively on his way to Europe and back and now enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that living in Nelson brings.
