Andrew came on board as a Director of CGW in early 2017 and looks after the company’s expansion into the southern part of NZ. Based in Wanaka, he has extensive knowledge of the residential construction industry in NZ due to starting Wilton Joubert Ltd in 2001 and growing that business to an involvement with around 10% of NZ’s residential building consents annually. Andrew saw the benefits that a CGW/WJL relationship could have and was actively involved in the WJL purchase of 25% of CGW.
In his CGW role, Andrew is the point of contact for any Southern Lakes consulting work. He leads the rapidly growing Wanaka office (if you’ve ever been there you’ll understand why the area is growing rapidly…). His management style is trusting people to “deliver what they said they’d deliver when they said they’d deliver it” and ensuring that happens.
Andrew is a typical outdoors Kiwi, with a particular love of skiing, general aviation, and a good red wine occasionally. OK, he’s a petrol head as well, but you won’t catch him talking about it unless he’s with like-minded people. Having started a family later in life, Andrew is now fully engaged with his wife Fiona in the development of a couple of fine young men.
